Eva Mach, Violin

Eva Mach (born 20 October 1993) is a Croatian violinist praised by music critics as an artist of strong temperament and musicality, distinguished by a wide dynamic range and complete dedication to music.

She began her violin education at the Rudolf Matz Music School in Zagreb and continued privately with Professor Armin Sešek in Ljubljana. At the age of twelve, she started an intensive collaboration with Professor Taras Petcheny, later pursuing her studies with him at the Academy of Music in Zagreb, where she earned her Master’s degree in 2015.

During her education, she won numerous awards at national and international competitions, including First Prize at the Premio Città di Padova in Italy and the D’Addario Prize at the Malta International Music Competition. She further developed her artistry at masterclasses with renowned violinists and pedagogues across Europe and the United States. She also participated in orchestral projects such as the Euphony Youth Orchestra, Orchestre des Jeunes de la Méditerranée, and the Kammerorchester der Bayerischen Philharmonie, performing under distinguished conductors.

In 2018, she completed a second Master’s degree at the Leopold Mozart Academy in Augsburg, studying with Professor Petru Munteanu. During the 2017/18 season, she performed as a first violinist with the Rheinische Philharmonie in Koblenz. She later continued advanced studies at the Schola Cantorum in Paris, earning the Diplôme de Virtuosité with special commendation.

From 2019 to 2022, she served as Deputy Concertmaster of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. Since 2022, she has focused on solo and chamber performances, while also teaching and organizing her own concert series, Klasika na Mach.
