Alenka Bogataj, Flute

Alenka Bogataj is a distinguished Slovenian flutist who graduated with honors from the Royal College of Music in London, the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich, and the Academy of Music in Ljubljana. During her studies, she was supported by the Pidem Foundation and received the Elizabeth Mary Morgan Award. In addition to numerous victories at national and international competitions, she was honored with the Barbara of Celje Award for Excellence, presented by the Rotary Club Barbara Celjska.

As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras including the Kammerphilharmonie DaCapo München, the University of Milan–Bicocca Orchestra, the Arte Solidale Festival Orchestra in Italy, and the Slovenian Philharmonic Chamber String Orchestra. She has also appeared as a piccolo soloist with the Orchestra Crescendo in Italy.

Alenka regularly performs in duo with pianist Danilo Mascetti, giving recitals across Slovenia, Italy, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. Notable appearances include performances at the Presidential Palace in Ljubljana, the Slovenian Embassy in London, and the Consulate in Munich.

As an orchestral musician, she collaborates with renowned ensembles such as the Munich Symphony Orchestra, the Regensburg Philharmonic Orchestra, Kammerphilharmonie DaCapo, Polizeiorchester Bayern, and the Munich Classical Players. She further developed her orchestral expertise through engagements with the Bayerische Orchesterakademie and the English National Opera Scheme.

She has appeared at prominent festivals including Festival Ljubljana, the Dubrovnik Summer Festival, the Belgrade Music Festival, KotorArt, Chopin Piano Fest Kosovo, Vox Baroque, Janus Festival, and the Arte Solidale Festival.
